The next Board of Education Meeting is Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7 p.m. NOTE: District 58’s planned $10 million Life Safety bond issue, which was to pay for roof repairs and other Life Safety projects throughout the district, has been postponed. The mission of Downers Grove Cares is to advocate strong, Downers Grove public schools and a strong community. We meet this mission in three ways: By endorsing District 58 Board of Education candidates who believe in strong schools and a strong community. By encouraging Downers Grove residents to support their schools and their community by voting at the April 7, 2009, elections for new Board members. By providing an ongoing platform for discussion about the future of our community.
Downers Grove Cares believes Downers Grove residents will rally around strong schools and a strong community.
